Lipoféine® Sensor fat : what is the mechanism of action of Chitosan ?

The Chitosan used in Lipoféine® Sensor fat is not-animal.

It is composed of polyglucosamines, which have the ability to catch the fats of the food, preventing their absorption and storage. The polyglucosamines contained in Lipoféine® Sensor of fat, it is possible toabsorb between 600 to 800 times their weight in fat*.

The Chitosan content in Lipoféine® Sensor fat only binds to the fat and not the sugars. In the stomach, Chitosan forms a gel that mixes with food. It captures the fats and cholesterol to form a complex insoluble and non-absorbable by the body. These fat, self-conscious, thus, are eliminated directly by the digestive tract.

Lipoféine® Sensor fat reduces the absorption of fats and cholesterol. As a fibre, fat-soluble, Chitosan swells in contact with water, increases the volume of the food bolus, thus creating a feeling of satiety.
