Clean the wound in accordance with the clinical protocol local.Select the appropriate size of the dressing. Remove the dressing DURAFIBER of the packaging in accordance with the rules of hygiene. Cut to the shape of the wound if necessary. Apply the dressing over the wound and the overlapping 1 cm on the periwound skin. In the case of use of DURAFIBER in deep wounds, insert in one piece, leave at least 2.5 cm outside the wound so that it can be easily removed. Do not fill the deep wounds that 85% no shake, since the expansion of the dressings DURAFIBER will fill the wound space on contact with wound exudate. Secure DURAFIBER with a bandage holding the moisture (e.g. ALLEVYN/OPSITE) or other secondary fixation is appropriate. The dressing may adhere if used on wounds low exuding. If the dressing does not withdraw easily, moisten or wet the bandage to allow the removal and avoid disruption of the healing process of the wound. If DURAFIBER is used on infected wounds, the infection should be treated according to the clinical protocols local.

DURAFIBER is a compress or a wisp sterile, soft non-woven made of fibers of sulfonate ethyl cellulose. This dressing is highly absorbent and conformable is designed to rapidly form a clear gel and soothing on contact with exudate. This gel absorbs excess fluid, it retains the exudate away from the wound, it provides a moist environment to allow debridement autolytic and conforms intimately to the wound bed. The high strength in the wet state of DURAFIBER allows easy removal of a single contiguous beds of wound moist and the wound cavity, thereby minimizing trauma to the wound and pain to the patient at the time of the removal of the dressing. DURAFIBER can be used with ALLEVYN?, OPSITE?, PROFORE? or PROGUIDE?.

DURAFIBER is an absorbent dressing and a gelling agent indicated for the treatment of wounds, chronic and acute, deep or superficial, bourgeonnantes and exuding. For example: leg ulcers ; pressure ulcers; diabetic ulcers; surgical wounds ; wounds that cannot heal by second intent; donor sites of grafts; wound tunnélisées and fistula; second degree burns; traumatic wounds; and wounds that can bleed like the wounds that have been unrestrained surgically or mechanically. DURAFIBER is designed to stay in place for up to 7 days.
