Mepilex Border is a foam dressing all-in-one of which has been proven to reduce the pain for the patient and trauma to the wound and the surrounding skin. The dressing has been developed for chronic wounds and acute exudation moderate-to-severe, such as pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, traumatic wounds and postoperative wounds. It absorbs and retains exudate and maintains a moist environment of the wound. The Safetac layer closes the wound edges so that the exudate does not seep into the surrounding skin, in order to minimize the risk of maceration. The Safetac layer guarantees that the dressing can be changed without damaging the wound or surrounding skin, or causing harm to the patient.
