Melgisorb Plus is a wound dressing highly absorbent to advocate for the treatment of a wide range of wounds moderately to heavily exuding.

The dressing is soft and sterile, is composed of fibres of alginate calcium/sodium that ensure:

Excellent absorption capacity (absorbs large amounts of exudate/fluid traumatic);

A high resistance to moisture, that is to say, a very good strength in the wet state (ensures that the dressing can be removed in one piece);

A retention high (minimizes the risk of maceration).

Melgisorb Plus absorbs large amounts of exudate.

By absorbing the exudate, the fibres of alginate form a moist gel soft create an environment that is traumatic wet, which stimulates the healing process of the wound (wound healing).

The gel is easily removed by irrigation using a saline solution (0.9 per cent).

Melgisorb More suitable for the treatment of a wide range of wounds moderately to heavily exuding, both infected and non-infected, for example:

Pressure ulcers (decubitus);
Venous ulcers and arterial;
Diabetic ulcers;
Collection Sites (donor sites);
Postoperative wounds;
Dermal wounds and other skin lesions external caused by trauma.

The dimensions/sizes of Melgisorb Most are available for both deep wounds and superficial.

Choose a size/size of Melgisorb Plus that is a little larger than the wound. Open the packaging.

Apply a dry dressing on the wound bed moist.

If it is a superficial wound: choose the size/the correct size to cover the entire wound.

If it is a wound, deep or cavity wound: cut off the drill bit (the correct size) and put it in the wound without sagging.

Cover and secure Melgisorb More in the way of a secondary dressing appropriate, for example Mepilex Border.

Compression therapy can be used in conjunction with Melgisorb More.
