The 6d ENERGY + CAFFEINE GEL contains 30 g of carbohydrate in a ratio glucose/fructose 2:1. This ratio of 2:1 allows you to absorb up to 90 g of carbohydrate per hour. In addition, and in contrast to most of the other gels, this gel contains 200 mg of sodium. It also allows you to quickly replenish the reserves of salt in the body. This is especially important for athletes who not only perspire a lot but exude in addition to a large amount of salt (\"salty sweaters \"), especially during the efforts made in a hot environment, that result in a significant loss in liquid.
In addition, the 6d ENERGY GEL + CAFFEINE contains not only 30 grams of carbs and 200 mg of sodium, but also 75 mg of caffeine. Ideal for long-term efforts (e.g., a marathon) in order to increase the caffeine content in the blood at a decisive moment in the competition (for example, during a steep climb or in the final of a competition), and/or to maintain the concentration of caffeine in the blood over a long period of effort.
Usage tips
Use 1 to 2 gels per hour of effort, with a maximum of 5 gels per day.
Take 1-2 gels 30 to 60 minutes before a decisive moment of the competition if a boost in mental and physical is desired.
After that, 1 gel per hour is sufficient to maintain the level of caffeine in the blood for long periods of effort.
Because of the high concentration of carbohydrates (sugars) and sodium, it is recommended to use the gel 6d ENERGY + CAFFEINE GEL in combination with water. This is to ensure proper absorption and to minimize the risk of gastrointestinal disorders.
