During exercise, the body generates perspiration thus avoiding a moderate increase of its temperature. It is necessary to compensate for this fluid loss by drinking, in order to maintain a proper water balance. The fact of not drinking enough in relation to the loss of fluids (dehydration) will have a negative effect on the exercises long-term and exercises intermittent high-intensity (alternating intensive efforts and brief periods of rest).
In addition to its ability to restore or maintain fluid balance, an energy drink for athletes also helps to maintain the blood glucose levels (amount of sugar in the blood) and to replenish the reserves of muscle glycogen (sugar in the muscles). This is important, because the performance depends on the amount of carbohydrates available.
The number of particles contained in an isotonic beverage is the number of particles present in the blood, thus allowing an optimal absorption of water, carbohydrates and minerals. Etixx Isotonic contains carbohydrates at a rate of 6.3% per 100ml. It is the thirst quencher ideal for athletes.
In the absence of consumption of carbohydrates during prolonged exercise, the muscular glycogen reserves would be depleted after about 90 min. How much carbohydrates should you eat during exercise? (Illustration)
- Exercise < 1 h (15): no need to consume carbohydrate during exercise.
- Exercises from 1 to 2 p.m.: 30g of carbohydrates per hour of exercise. (approximately 500 ml Isotonic)
- Exercises 2 to 3 pm: 60g of carbohydrates per hour of exercise. (about 1l of Isotonic)
- Years >2.5 to 3 h: up to 90g of carbohydrates per hour of exercise. (up to 1.5 l of Isotonic approximately)
For the years extending more than 2 hours and a half, it is recommended to eat 60 g to 90 g of carbohydrates per hour. It is not possible to absorb such a large amount of carbohydrates if we consume different kinds at the same time (namely carbohydrates multitransportables). The fact is that the glucose transporters are saturated from the moment where we consume 60g of carbohydrates per hour. To be able to consume more than 60 g of carbohydrates per hour, it is best to combine the glucose (or maltodextrin) with - for example - fructose, using different carriers and oxidizes less quickly. Etixx Isotonic contains these carbohydrates multitransportables for maximum absorption of large quantities of carbohydrates necessary for prolonged exercise.
That will take advantage of Isotonic?
This drink isotonic thirst quencher is open to all athletes who need to quickly restore fluid balance and replenish energy and electrolytes. Athletes \"explosive\" (such as weightlifters, throwers, sprinters, jumpers, etc), athletes who practice exercises in the medium term (runners, swimmers, kayakers, rowers, etc), endurance athletes (marathoners, triathletes, cyclists, etc), and athletes who practice team sports and racket (football players, basketball players, tennis players, etc) will take advantage of the benefits of this thirst quencher. Etixx Isotonic is a sports drink ideal for hot weather (>10 °C).
Dissolve 35g of powder (2 doses= 35 g powder) in 500 ml of water. Drink at least 500 ml per hour of effort. In warmer conditions and during an exercise-intensive, it is recommended to drink 750 ml to 1 l per hour.
- The formula 2/1 (maltodextrin/fructose) allows you to consume larger amounts of carbohydrates
- Sodium ensures a better retention of fluids in the body and stimulates the sensation of thirst
- An isotonic drink is ideal to quench the thirst in hot weather
- neutral pH to prevent gastric disorders
Maltodextrin - Fructose - Sucrose - Dextrose - Salts potassium of phosphoric acid - an acidity Corrector : citric Acid - sodium Chloride - Aroma - magnesium Salts of citric acid - natural Flavor - lemon Juice green powder
