The BCAA (branched chain amino acids) are 3 essential amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, and valine. \"Essential\" means that they are not produced by the body, but they must be absorbed by the power supply.
It is well known that BCAAS can be oxidized in skeletal muscles, unlike other amino acids that are degraded to the level of the liver.
There has been evidence that the additional intake of BCAA before and after exercise enhances the replenishment of muscle after injury, reduced muscle breakdown during exercise and increases the development of muscle mass after training.
