The basis of the sweetener that supports the cooking of Prodia is the dextrin maltose, which gives the crystal structure. The sweetness mainly comes from the sucralose itself. Sucralose is derived indirectly from the ordinary sugar, but is 600 times stronger. It is for this reason that the taste resembles very much that of the ordinary sugar.
