Contains 200 % of the recommended daily dose of iron in a form that is easy to digest (bisglycinate iron), that is to say, in the form of iron combined with two molecules of the amino acid the simplest: glycine. FerroDyn does not contain deliberately not vitamin C whereas the latter, when isolated in a supplement, becomes pro-oxidant in presence of iron. In contrast, when vitamin C is surrounded and protected by other antioxidant nutrients in the food bowl, it promotes the reduction of ferric iron (Fe 3+) to ferrous iron (Fe 2+) to allow the transfer entérocytaire of iron from the digestive tract into the blood circulation.
