ISOBETADINE.
Preparation to use by way buccogingivale to disinfect the mouth and throat. Contains iodine (as povidone iodine) is an antiseptic which kills microbes (bacteria, viruses, fungi) and which prevents infection.
Indications :
- Prevention and treatment of infections of the mouth and pharynx : mucous membranes, tongue, gums, tonsils, throat.
- A complementary treatment of angina, thrush, herpes.
- Care before or after removal of tonsils.
- Dental care in case of dental plaque, gum disease, before or after extraction of a tooth.
- A complementary treatment of the dental abscess.
What is in the iso-Betadine Mouth :
- The active substance is povidone iodine.
- The other ingredients are : ethanol - glycerol saccharin sodium phosphate disodium dihydrate - citric acid monohydrate - sodium hydroxide - lévomenthol - eucalyptol potassium iodate - purified water.
The recommended dose is :
- Rinse the mouth or gargle with a dose of 15 ml (graduations are present on a measuring cup) of iso-Betadine Oral for ½ minute, 2 or 3 times per day.
- Dab the infected parts 2 or 3 times a day, using a cotton applicator moistened with a solution of iso-Betadine Oral.
The bottle has a measuring cup (ticks for 5, 10, 15 and 20 ml) and a safety cap for children. To open the bottle, unscrew the cap by pushing down and turning it in the opposite direction of the needles of a watch. After use, screw the cap to the bottom in the normal sense of the needles of a watch.
