Terramycine Pommade Ophtalmique 1x3,5g
PFIZER.
The TERRAMYCIN, ointment ophthalmic (for the eyes), is an association composed of oxytetracycline, an antibiotic belonging to the tetracycline group, and polymyxin B sulfate, an antibiotic polypeptide of the group of polymyxins.
The TERRAMYCIN ophthalmic ointment can be used for surface infections of the eye, such as infections of the conjunctiva and cornea.
Hydrochloride oxytetracycline (= oxytetracycline 5 mg) - polymyxin B sulfate (= polymyxin B 10,000 IU) - liquid Paraffin vaseline.
- The ointment will be placed in the conjunctival sac of the lower eyelid (pocket formed by the outer membrane of the eye).
A small quantity (approximately 1 cm) will be filed 4 to 6 times per day;
- Treat until complete healing of the infection;
- Duration of treatment : one day to several weeks, depending on the nature and severity of the infection;
- In case of infection of the edge of the eyelids, to remove dandruff and crusts with a small sterile dressing before you apply the ointment;
- Avoid touching the eye with the tip of the tube.
