The active substance is flurbiprofen. Flurbiprofen belongs to a group of medications called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), which exert their effect by altering the way the body responds to pain, edema (swelling) and fever.
Strepfen Spray is used to relieve short-term symptoms of sore throat, such as soreness, pain, difficulty swallowing, and swelling of the throat.
The active substance is flurbiprofen. A dose (3 sprays) contains 8.75 mg of flurbiprofen, corresponding to 16.2 mg/ml of flurbiprofen.
The other components are :
bétadex, disodium phosphate dodécahydraté, citric acid monohydrate, para-hydroxybenzoate methyl (E218), para-hydroxybenzoate propyl (E216), sodium hydroxide, peppermint aroma, cherry aroma, N,2,3-trimethyl-2-isopropylbutanamide, saccharin sodium, hydroxypropylbétadex and purified water.
Recommended Dose
Adults 18 years of age and older :
A dose of 3 sprays in the back of the throat every 3-6 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 5 doses per 24 hours.
A dose (3 sprays) contains 8.75 mg of flurbiprofen.
Do not use this medication in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
